Apostille Texas is open and available to help you in anyway we can.
We still provide same day expedited Texas apostille documents services and authentication document services on any type of legal documents.
On March 18, 2020 the Texas Secretary of State closed down their office building in downtown Austin, TX to the general public because of the coronavirus.
With the lone exception being the Texas Secretary of State authentications unit and Texas apostille department who are allowing a few vetted Texas apostille service courier companies such as Apostille Texas to continue to perform rush Texas apostille and Texas authentication document services.
From March 26th-April 7th the Texas Secretary of State office shut down completely and our company (or any company for that matter) was no longer allowed to rush file documents on our customers behalf during that twelve day shut down.
Please be aware that it’s our belief that the Texas Secretary of State will continue to shut down without notice (they shut down for 3 1/2 days without notice in June 2020 because of all the rioting and looting in Austin) based on future COVID-19 lock downs measures and widespread rioting.
With this information in mind please take the appropriate actions and immediate steps to mail your documents to us so we can apostille or authenticate them while we still can.
Because of how unstable and unpredictable everything is with both the Texas Secretary of State and United States Department of State.
Apostille Texas is currently only offering our same day Texas apostille services and Texas authentication services. Not our slower and less expensive four day turnaround Texas apostille service option.
We also highly recommend that you only mail your documents to us via FedEx, UPS, or DHL.
Please do not use the United States Postal Service to mail your important time sensitive one of kind documents to us. USPS is losing documents and delaying shipments constantly right now.
On March 20th, 2020 the United States Department of State Office of Authentications in Washington, D.C shut down their offices to the general public as well as to all federal apostille courier company agents like Apostille Texas.
This means our standard expedited rush federal apostille certificate and federal authentication certificate service turnaround times (3-4 business days) can no longer be offered at this time.
If you mail your documents to Apostille Texas we can still obtain a federal apostille certificate or federal authentication certificate for you or your company.
But because of the immense document backlog from shutting down and furloughing staff.
The U.S State Department (USDOS) office is now taking 6-8 weeks to turnaround submitted documents after we (or any person or company) have filed documents with them.
We have heard federal government rumors and whispers that by February/March 2021 the U.S. Department of State may partially reopen.
This would allow us to rush walk-in service file international documents in 3-4 business days like we could pre-COVID.
Most if not all U.S foreign embassies and consulates offices located in Washington D.C have closed their buildings to the general public.
The vast majority if not all Washington DC foreign embassies have also implemented reduced hours and days that they’re open to receive phone calls and emails.
Almost all foreign embassy’s in Washington D.C. are still allowing Apostille Texas to hand file documents on our customers behalf to receive expedited document legalizations and document attestations certifications.
Please let us know what country you need legalization of documents and attestation of documents for and we’ll let you know the current U.S foreign embassy status for that country.
Right now everything is day to day since both the US Department of State and Texas Secretary of State (TXSOS) buildings have already closed down completely to the general public.
We know how important getting personal, business, and corporation documents apostilled, authenticated, attested, and legalized are to our worldwide customers.
Please know Apostille Texas is doing everything we can to continue to help people and businesses during these trying times that we are in.
Thanks, be safe, and God bless.
